La casa è diventata il nostro rifugio, essa ci protegge e ci tiene al sicuro. Dai nostri schermi il mondo ci appare oramai sconosciuto, precario, dalle forme incerte e dalle tinte indefinite. Chi ci assicura che il nostro giaciglio non ci porti ad uno strano cambiamento di stato, i cui rischi sono forse ben maggiori di quelli che ci sono lì, al di fuori di noi? Non sarà la ripetizione ossessiva delle nostre azioni a portarci ad un totale decentramento psichico, ad una trasformazione dei nostri corpi e della nostra identità verso una condizione di animalità indesiderata? Questa chiusura forzata, l’esclusione da ogni tipo di socialità ci pone in un costante stato di agguato, facendoci rassomigliare sempre più a delle bestie rinchiuse nelle proprie tane, arrivando alla quasi decostruzione dell’essere umano. Sotto la terra c’è il buio, l’umidità, l’odore delle nostre prede che giacciono inerti nel freezer. Nulla di rassicurante, eppure continuiamo a stare fermi, nel silenzio.

The home has become our shelter: it protects us and keeps us safe. From our screens, the world now appears unfamiliar, precarious, with uncertain forms and undefined shades. Who can assure us that our bedding will not lead us into a strange change of state, whose risks may be far greater than those that lie outside of us? Could it be that the obsessive repetition of our actions will bring about a total psychic decentralization, a transformation of our bodies and identities toward an unwanted state of animality? This forced confinement, the exclusion from all forms of social interaction, places us in a constant state of ambush, making us increasingly resemble beasts confined within their dens, nearing the deconstruction of the human being. Beneath the ground there is darkness, dampness, the smell of our prey lying inert in the freezer. Nothing reassuring—and yet we remain still, in silence.
